Naps are good.

No-kill Animal Shelter for Cats

American Heritage Animal Hospital provides a home for abandoned cats in Gwinnett County that would otherwise be put to sleep.  These cats are provided with a home in Snellville at American Heritage until they are adopted which could be from two weeks to ten years or never.  They are given complete veterinary medical care and plenty of love and affection.

Many of our staff members invite these cats into their home during weekends and holidays.  Others have adopted many of these cats as permanent family members.  When you visit us you will see these cats out and about because they are not kept kenneled all of their lives.

Working with Middle and High school Students

American Heritage sponsors a Veterinary Explorer Post for Middle and High school students who are interested in a career in veterinary medicine.  The students have the opportunity to shadow the doctors to help them learn more about the veterinary medicine field. This program is run through the Boy Scouts of America Exploring and Venturing programs.
